The A4 CD changer is made by Alpine.  This also applies to any recent Audi
with the new Delta radio.  However, the control protocol is unique to Audi,
so you are unlikely to be able to simply fit an aftermarket unit.

I was quoted a dealer installed price in the area of $600.  Still a little
high, but at least it's covered under the warranty.  You might want to shop
around for a better dealer price.  Installation is a no-brainer, so don't get
taken for a high installation cost.
