This is a big advantage of the Euro-H4 systems--the lens alone IS
replaceable, if you can get just the lens.  Back in '93, the lens for the
'86-91 200q headlight was about DM38--don't know current exchange rates, but
that's a wee bit less than a new US-spec lens/reflector/housing assembly (on
my folk's Jetta, it was a $250 bill, installed at the dealer).
