That's a good idea...never really thought about asking before, but...
just for comparison, the local chapter of the Porsche Club America publishes
minutes of their board meetings, and also an annual report with financial
statements in their newsletter. (saw this in their newsletter this last
summer) In the 4+ years I've been a QCUSA member, I've never seen any such
publishing in the QQ. (don't recall the PCA Drivers Ed event costs--they
are open only to P-cars--do recall that they do require an evening "ground
school" sometime the week before track day)

In the last year, you might say I have gotten the impression (at this point
unjustly substantiated only by rumor) that QCUSA has been operated or
intended as a "profitable enterprise" by Beddor, Anderson et al. And yes,
their capital investment does deserve to be recovered, but then, should it
be called a car club? or a business? Flip side: the QCUSA events ARE
valuable experiences, and a few $$$ less than the commercial schools. From
that initial perspective, they do offer great value for the money. It's
just that the more I learn...as they say, a little knowledge can be a
dangerous thing :)
