No, no no!!! The CD is NOT a diesel version. 5000 turbo's were sold in the
USA as 5000CS, and in Canada as 5000CD. Quattros were simply 5000CS quattro
(in USA) or 5000CD quattro (in Canada). The CD designation was used on the
turbocharged 5000 models through 1988 in Canada but was only for gasoline
engine. Very very few diesel Audi 5000's came into Canada in 1984, and I think
none after that year. The previous model Audi 5000 (boxy shape) did have
a turbo diesel model that sold quite well in 1982-83.
