The CD was in fact the turbo in Canada, not the diesel.  I stand
corrected.   There may have been a few VWoA test car Quantum Synchro
sedans sold as used cars in 1984 in Denver, but the car was never
offered new to the public.   I am off to Beijing this afternoon
where the latest fad is to change the badges on your
stolen/smuggled/otherwise illegal Audi A6 to Audi 100 to fool the
local constabulary into thinking you are driving a locally made
FAW-Audi product, complete with FAW logo on the front grille.
