WOW!  I heard you had a rare car, but that is AMAZING!  I always
thought that the "D" meant it was a 1983 model.  Doc Brown musta
had something to do with it.  I've seen other cases where Audi 
has done things to take advantage of the older regulations, but 
was this worth it?

BTW - the microfiche indicates that the VIN for 3/31/83 was 
85-D-9001718 ....
