Way back in high school, a friend of mine mounted a dipstick on one side of
his exhaust system and routed it into the passenger compartment.  He used a
little squeeze bottle to squirt oil through it and generate some smoke from
the right side of the dual exhausts on his Chevelle SS 396.

Since he occasionally indulged in a little bit of late-night street racing,
the idea was to fool someone into believing that his motor was sick instead
of incredibly healthy ... he also used used to spray WD-40 on his motor and
drive around on dirt roads to make it look neglected and poorly maintained.

Beware of Q-ships!  ;^)
