Re: Chirp when locking door / Oxygen sensor change
That chirp is your alarm activating. Should be coming from drivers
rear quater.

1990 AUDI V8 QUATTRO
Q1. Recently purchased a 90 V8 Quattro and whenever I lock the driver side door
I
hear a chirp (low noise version of the horn). Is this normal ?
Q2. I have noticed uneven surging from the engine when accelerating. I had been
advised that this might have something to do with the Oxygen sensor (needing
repl acement). Since I am not a auto mech. by any means, would it be easy to
replace t his by myself, if I purchased the part from my local Audi dealership.
Am still amazed at the level of expertise of members in this group. Would
appreci ate any advise regarding the two questions mentioned above,
Thanks,
Vikram Kumar
