I purchased a very large battery from SAM'S CLUB just over a year ago,
It was made by Delco, and had the sunken terminals and the vent hose.

I vaguely remember a figure of $50 or so. 

The other viable option I considered was the DIEHARD INTERATIONAL
from Sears. I think it was $75 to 80... 

Since it probably never gets below  zero degrees F where you are,
and you probably use synthetic, having the 1000 amp crank 
capacity is overkill. 700 to 850 should be more than enough.
