... seems to me that all you'd need to do is to remove the T in the vacuum 
line so that the C/C controls only the heater valve and rig a vacuum switch 
of your choosing to recirc door line.  My fuzzy recollection is that the T
is in the shelf (under the hood), but I may be wrong.  It wouldn't be too 
tough to follow it from the heater valve under the hood ...

The C/C would no longer be in control of the recirc door, but the only time
it sets recirc is during MAX A/C and OFF anyway.
