RE: Tire experts needed

Tim, I'm in the same situation, only the Gods got angry at the _back_ of my
Coupe! I am planning on rotating front to rear until I need to replace all
four, so I don't have to worry about differences in brand, etc. It will also
be an opportunity for me to upgrade to better tires than the AVSs I
currently have. Any recommendations? D40s? CZ91s? There was an article
somewhere (Crap & Drivel (tm)?) recently that indicated it was significantly
better to put new tires on the back of a front wheel drive car, not sure how
it applies to our quattros.

It must have been a lonely winter in Audi Heaven, the Gods are fairly mad at
me, too. I have just replaced the RF wheel bearing (blissful silence!), my
windshield got a _huge_ crack in it during one of the cold snaps, one or
more rotors are warped, complain, complain, complain...
