RE: Ur-Q flywheel pins?

Dunnno about the three pulses - thought it was only one......where did you git this info?

In any case, there is only one pin on the engine or crank side of the FW and this is where one sensor is located. The second sensor is located over the FW teeth. There is no sensor that I can find anywhere near the two pins on the clutch side of the FW!

??? still very puzzled ???

Glen, the ignition computer is looking for three pulses coming
from one of the flywheel sensors. I don't know which side of
the flywheel it looks at, but I'll bet the two extras on the
crank side are to make up the other two pulses, which the locators
on the other side aren't even scanned by the F/TCU's sensors.
They are right it wouldnt start, it looks for three pulses and
finds tdc from the single pulse from the hall sender on the distributor.
Note that the distributor must fire EXACTLY 60 before tdc. You
may have a little tweaking to do to get it to start up. Have to
slowly rotate the distributor while cranking to find the exact position.

Good luck!
