Re: your brake fade, first make sure its mechanical and not a hydraulic
problem. If its mechanical, take heart, Audi brakes have to be some of the
easiest in the world to work on. You could replace the front rotors and
pads for probably $100 and 1 hour of your time, less $'s and same time for
the backs. You need one or two open end wrenches, a big allen wrench, a
jackstand and a lug wrench (a caliper spreader would be helpful). Let Audi
and Midas suck someone else dry.
P.S. try not to get so touchy, alot of questions flow to the list and not
