Oh, by the way, the ground strap fell off while driving it and
I didn't realize it until it wouldn't start later. Could this
have really messed up something bad??? The car was missing
but I think this was do to low voltage because of no
alternator charging.
If you mean the battery got disconnected, you can seriously blow all
sorts of electrical circuits due to switching transients that pulse
into hundreds of volts (with more than a coupla amps behind it!),
that the battery will normally "filter" (or "damp out").
If you mean the alternator got disconnected, I don't think you can
damage any of the car's stuff; as to the alternator/voltage regulator,
well . . .
