it isn't... I think (Peter, Ned, whomever) deal with customers in the same way, regardless of
the level of customer experience or expertise. Ever try to buy a new computer? As the joke
goes, "What is the difference between a used car salesperson and a computer salesperson?
(the used car salesperson _knows_ when they're lying to you)" We may know as much (or more)
than the people we're buying the product from.

As a rule, we're pretty tough customers here on the list. I commend Peter for even daring to
post and respond to criticism. We know alot more than Peter|Ned|others average customer. Yes,
I believe that I can solder|program|weld|wrench with the best of them - maybe even better.
The trouble is that Peter|Ned|whomever doesn't immediately know this - they have to be ready
to talk to the 'least common denominator'.

Maybe we can allow that 'advertising' is just that. Not factual testimony, but information of
a sort which is presented to potential customers (remember the least common denominator). The
technical terms may be slightly i<ahem> 'generous'. After all, how many people _really_ know what
the acronym RAM stands for, much less EPROM, etc. versus the number of people who use it
daily? (e.g. use a computer)

I haven't seen any of Peter's marketing materials. I haven't seen any of Ned's. I am just
interested in keeping the peace to a point where the Peters|Neds|whomevers _want_ to be on
this list. I'll takeup those fights I see worthwhile. I just don't have any hard evidence that
anyone has maliciously done anything wrong here.

It's a fair bet that I'll be purchasing _someones_ ECU _UPGRADE_ for my S6 in the future. I
could do it myself, but I just don't have the time or the desire. I know I'll not be the only
customer from this list. Let this little 'misunderstanding' serve as a reminder to the vendors
on this list that we demand to be treated fairly. Before I purchase anything though, I want to
know what is being done - not content, but procedure.
