Re: Uniden failure!

Hmmmm!
Bought my Bel from Executive Photo. Mail order along with $30 rebate.
No problem except for mushed suction cup from poor storage condition. (It
gets mashed in the glove compartment)

Might want to give Bel a chance. I have the 635iPlus. $160 after rebate.

I bought a Cobra detector from discount store long time ago. Did exactly
what yours did after a few months. Cuts out after about 1 hour run time.
Mentioned it to local car stereo store that did install for my car. Their
response was that the discount store item might be a 'second' merchandise.
They exchanged the unit for me. And the Cobra that came back never hiccuped
at all.

Food for thought.
Smile Camera gives me the creep. Haven't dealt with them before.
