I know of a N/A '85 5k that ran nitrous for a while. Sure, it was running all
the time instead of tapering off, but the end result was a cracked piston, & a
new block (thank you Audi.) Now, the Audi mechanics did find an air bubble in
the metal in the piston, but I have to believe that that piston would have lead
a long, happy life under normal operating conditions... Food for thought-
