RE: Mt Washington Details

Well, things to keep in mind:

1) practice on Fri and Sat am will most likely BE OVER by 12 noon - so be there early

2) spectating is FREE - BUT - you will need to HIKE up the mountain to one of the spectator spots
or take one of the Mt. Washngton & Glen Stage Co stages (vans) up the mountain for like - and
I am guessing - $15 or so - OR - you could spectate at the start - not as exciting but easy, no need
to be very early, facilities nearby, warm, etc, etc. The stages SELL OUT early - so BE EARLY!

3) you could, possibly, drive up to the summit early, like $10/car and $2 per person - BUT - sometimes
on practice days they only run the bottom 1/2 - so keep this in mind!

4) bring bugspray, food, water and winter clothes - BE PREPARED!

5) this place is BIG - the biggest mountain in the North East - meeting is hard to do if you so not
   PLAN AHEAD!

6) We are working the course and trying to meet up with us during practice or competition will most
    likely be IMPOSSIBLE.

7) I suggest that everyong attending but not working should try to meet at the base of the Auto Road,
say at the gate where you go over a small 'humming bridge' style steel bridge, you'll see what I mean
when you git there. So, someone that is not working but definitely going should spearhead any effort
to meet up. If/when yous guys decide lemme know and I will try to meet up with you, but, workers have
to ascend the mountain very early to be in place for course safety checks and to prepare for practice/
competition, etc, so we will not be able to meet up with anyone in the mornings, unless you're there
very early and kin ketch us before we ascend for flagging. Best bet for us would be Fri or Sat pm after
   practice.

8) workers meet at the Auto Road base like 2 hours before the first car goes off - so workers meet at
like 5:30 - 6 am and ascend around 7 am Fri & Sat - a little later on Sun for competition

9) We'll be in a silver 87TQW with antennae and mucho baby-stuff in the back - we usually monitor CB
    Ch 19 or 40

10) oh, what with the baby and all, the wife and I will be trading off, so I will NOT be working one or
more days when I'm babysitting - WHOOPS - that's 'parenting' - my mistake! :) I have no idea
what days(s) I will not be working - she let's me do this crazy stuff so she gets to pick when she
     works!

11) I will try to get an official info phone number and post it
