Michael,
If you have the Bentley Manual or The Bosch Fuel Injection Handbook, the 
Diagnostic Procedure is outlined there.
On the 1988 and later cars, you insert a fuse into the Fuel Pump Relay with 
the ignition switch ON and the Check Engine Light flashes a sequence of 
pulses to indicate the first error, placing the fuse in again, gets you the 
second error cose at infinitun untill you get a End of Error Code. You need 
the Book to give you the codes.
