Urgent: A6 or A4?

Hi guys,
   Just got an interesting call from home. Seems the replacement for the MPV
will likely be and Audi. I'm going home this weekend, and apparently my opinion
is going to swing the decision between the A4 and the A6. So.. I'm going to
check them out. So.. this is somewhat urgent. Anybody who had to choose between
them or has anything positive or negative to say about them, PLEASE send me
your experiences. If you want, e-mail me directly to save some bandwidth. 
I know the basic differences of course.. it's the little things. I hear that
the A4 has a bad alarm, at least from recent posts to the list. But.. I haven't
heard that much about the A6. The car, will have to have an Auto tranny (sad
 but Mom's a shiftless sort of lady) and will be a Quattro. We may deal with
garage DeFrance, in Ithaca since it's closest to home.. so Eric if you are out
there.. you seem to know ALOT about these vehicles. Want to meet me in Ithaca
this weekend to discuss and look over some Qs? Thanks everyone!
