I had to replace the one on my mother's car two weeks ago ... it's usually
not that difficult except she had parked in the sun and it was 112 degrees
out that afternoon. At least she remembered to pull over and shut the car
off instead of driving it all the way home!
BTW, I have had THREE of these valves fail on my family's cars in the last
seven months ... if you haven't replaced yours recently, you might want to
do so as a preventive measure. It's not IF it fails but WHEN ... which is
not too surprising when you realize the lowly VW Fox uses exactly the same
valve! I now carry a spare in the trunk along with a waterpump and timing
belt and can of Pentosin and radiator repair kit and radiator hoses and...
