Soldered chip

The S4 conversion should have 2 chips changed, one on the bottom board and
the other on the top. One of the chips is difficult to obtain as a blank so
some companies reprogram the original. Both chips are usually soldered in
and removing them is a tricky job. Removing them twice is even trickier as
the solder pads may have started to lift after the first removal.

To put it back to stock, you need to remove the chips and reprogram them and
resolder them in.

Much as it pains me to say this, if the car is running ok, why bother? If it
aint broke, dont fix it. You are taking a risk by changing the chips again.
Thats why we always fit sockets, so going back to stock is easy, and we
supply the original chips to do it with!
