On the subject of dysfunctional odometers, I noticed that when
mine failed, it wasn't due to a stripped gear or anything, but
rather that the gear is simply spinning on the shaft that it's
supposed to turn. Any bets on whether a fix as simple as a
couple drops of Loctite 271 (red) might do the trick? Or epoxy
or some such?

I still have the old one, maybe I'll experiment and see what
I can come up with.
