Re: Sage of Ur-Q WIthout a Spark

Paul,

In a message dated 96-06-21 00:08:32 EDT, you write:

<< . Swallowed hard and tried a few more cranks via ignition. Again, no spark

except when I sstop cranking. Whoops! It almost caught once after I stopped
cranking! Got about five to ten self directed revs. I'm hoping that this
means
ECU module is working but getting garbage due to some errant fault in ground
or
wiring. One last observation. As I was cranking I noticed a few errant
voltage
devils dancing between a loose bolt and the hydraulic pump bracket assembly
that
is not presently under tension. I rechecked ground straps and found all
intact.
failing light kept me from continuing.

Thank goodness the better half is away on a business trip. I'll get up early

 tomorrow to continue my search.

Have you checked the ignition switch yet? I have seen similar problems many
years ago that was related to contacts (or lack thereof) within the switch.
I even had a mechanic suspect mine, but that ended up to be an ECU full of
water due to leaky windshield.

Good luck!
