Twisted, definitely twisted. Exactly what I would have done, and
therefore also normal, if you restrict your sample population. And why
not? The cosmetics alone dictate the necessity of such a swap. Those
wheels make a statement (yeah, functionality too, yadda, yadda)! Why
have them languish in the garage when a few minutes with a wrench can
keep them rolling? Sometimes even things that seem cosmetic or frivolous
can be absolutely necessary. Even "Neanderthals" and tech-heads are not
immune. My advice to you: if you like the way they look, ask him to buy
another set for his red car and keep the stock wheels as spares for both
of you. Why should you get 2nd-class treatment just because his exhaust
doesn't leak?
