Unforgettable Weekend (long)

Hi Audi Fans,

During the last weekend in Chicago, I had experienced the most terrible
things ever in my and my borther's life. What was it? The story is followed.
But first, I would like to thank's Todd Candey's help and advice on the
phone during the weekend; if without him, my brother and I would never know
what to do at that frustration time.

Sceond, let me remind all list members one important thing: Next time
if you, so unluckly, need a tow truck to transfer your Audi or whatever
car for repair, please carefully obsereve the tow truck's condition first.
If the tow truck's condition is in pretty bad shape such as rusty, something
loosen, or without a fire extinguisher, just go ahead and request another
one, I think it's worth to wait for a newer one.

Story:
I was planning drive up to Todd Candey's, IL, home to pick up some parts
for my Audi and then go back to Indiana on the same day. Well, since my
Audi was a bit sick and some other reasons, my brother and I decided to drive
the Subaru Legacy(thought it won't break) instead of the Audi for the trip.
It was a pretty nice day, and we thought our mission will completed without
any troubles. But, there was no such thing at all. After we cross the Indiana
boarder several minutes, we immediately encounter a serious problem. It
seemed the Subaru was ran over something during the bump, and we didn't know
the fuel tank had been punctured until those people drove behind shouted at
us. We were shocked and didn't know what to do, so we just stop right at the
nearby gas station in the S.Chicago district!! I checked under the car, and
found out that the fuel tank had a 2 inches long by 1 inche deep hole. Damn,
the gas leaked out just like a waterfall!!

At that time, we called a friend in Chicago, and waited for him at the gas
station while waited for tow truck. Tow truck came, and we decided to tow the
Subaru to my friedns home first and wait till Monday the shop open. I was
on my frined's car and my brother was on the tow truck following behind us.
Bad things always come one after one. After we were cruising on the 94 (Dan
Ryan expwy)a while, my friend checked the rear view mirror and suddently told
me that my car was on fire and a wheel flew off from the car. WTF?? I was
really pissed and I didn't even know what was wrong with my car. I thought
that was it, my brother's new car was finished. So, my friend and I got off
the 94 and try get back to the tow truck. When we arrived, I saw a couple
of things. 1) The tow truck and the Subaru blocked the middle lane and all
traffic slow down 2) The Subaru still on fire (The fire probably caused by
the sparks which came from the tow truck and ignited the punctured fuel tank
and the tow truck did even have a fire extinguisher to put out the fire!)
3) The tow truck's right rear wheels and brakes were all flew away 4) The
departmant of transportation's truck arrived and help putting off the fire
underneath my car. 4)(The most funny one) The highway patrol arrived and
along with the highway partol's TV crews. Of course, the fxxxing tow truck,
driver, my brother, my friends and I were all record on the video tape. Those
guys said that they will call us when the show time comes. On next day
morning, I inspected the car and found out oil pan had a big dent, fuel tank
and several hoses and wire were burned, and the front tires were also damaged
pretty seriously :( Sigh!

In summary, it was a really long night and I could even close my eyes at my
friend's home that night. My bother? he was scared to death; he said he would
never drive up to Chicago again. Sigh! I never thought this kind of thing
will happened in real life, I thought it will only happened in moive. Whew,
what a trip to Chicago! I really hope it won't happened to anyone again.

Anyway, I'll be back, Chicago!!!!! I'll be back.

Sorry for the bandwidth and have a nice day.
