If this is a VW/Audi radio...there's probably a special tool to get it
out. My radio had a hole at each corner in the bezel. If you jam a nail
(or something) in at each corner it will depress the tabs that hold the
radio into the dash. It may also be bolted to the firewall (or some other
mounting point) via a bolt on the back of the unit.

If you're installing a multichanger, you'll have to run the
controller/output cables to the back of the car anyway. So you may as
well run decent power from the front of the car. Or.. you could always
tap into that dinky little light in the trunk (aka "boot").
