Yes, though I half consider it a feature.  At least the bad guys have to be
standing right next to the car to use a code scanner on it.  :-)

Actually, I think the owner's manual sez it's only good for 3 m.  It is
kinda annoying to start walking away, turn around to arm it and have to walk
back to do it...
