alas, i will not be attending, but i could suggest a meeting place since        
i have spent a lot of time in litchfield county in the past.  i think the ideal 
picnic/meeting spot would be kent falls state park on route 7.

Do you know if they have picnic tables/grills there?

I see it right off of RT 7 south of Cornwall Bridge which is a beautiful area.
Do you know if there are areas easily accomidating 20 cars?
