'90 CQ computer / AC low pressure switch

Looks like (according to Mr. Bentley) that I either have no AC juice, or
the AC low pressure switch is toast. Since adding juice will require $$,
and I'm a cheap Yankee, I wanted to check the LP switch. According to
Mr. Bentley, just remove the fuel injection control unit, and I will be
able to jump the wires connecting to the LP switch. Yeah, right. If I
get cold, get a new switch, if not get 1070g of R12 (plus fix whatever
allowed it out - ouch).

The *only* problem, there is no mention by Mr. Bentley of how to get the
f-ing FI control unit out, and it is significantly less than obvious.
It's between the blower and the firewall above the passenger footwell,
with the LP switch just above it. I have the glovebox out, with an
inspection mirror I can see the f-ing LP switch, but I lack (in a BIG
way) fingers small enough to get in there.

Any suggestions?
