You are on the right track. Go in through the trunk, peel back the
foam/carpet
on the sides of the trunk. You should now see the brackets which are used
to hold the rear valence on. Get a friend to hold the valence. From
underneath
the car undo the nuts on the bolts and remove the lower locating strip. You
should now be able to lift up the bracket. The bracket has the 3 bolts
welded
to it. Not to hard once you figure it out. Be sure to mark the upper and
lower
parts of the brackets along with which side it came from, it will aid in
reassembly.
(Don't ask how I know.)
