All right!  THAT I can agree with!  If you want the stiffer 
sidewalls, that may be a good way to do it.  Many of the stiff 
sidewall tires I've seen have also had rubber as hard as bricks - not 
exactly traction material.  Mebbe with V-ratings, you can get rubber 
that sticks but still have stiff sidewalls...
