Bad bomb...no power steering

Hi,

Knowing that these two systems are linked, my bomb is going fast (maybe 
already gone) and my power steering is going fast.  No leaks (isn't the 
bomb supposed to leak when bad?) but I lose boost on the brakes after 
about 3 pedals.  I just want to make sure that if I buy a bomb, that 
should also fix the power steering.  (Rebuilt pump about 1 year ago and 
new rack is '89.)  Mine is an 86 5kcs.
