Not to question your car spotting skills, but I've even
had 100 and 200 owners come up to me and ask me
about why mine doesn't have any badges.  I'm surprised
at the number that have never even heard of a V8.  BTW,
I like the poetic way you described the car...may I use
it?

Cruising on the Mass Pike about 30 miles from entrance from Connecticut, 
I spied a sublime black 100 Q with no badges on her.  The car was 
gorgeous in a strong, understated way, and outclassed everything on the 
highway as it slipped past me.  The owner was obviously having fun on a 
wonderful sunny day.  Tried to get back alongside to ask the person about 
the car but was unsuccessful due to blasting [!] in the area which caused 
traffic jams.  Who are you, I'd like to know?
