Hmmm.  Well, the radio IS a standard DIN... sort of.  That
is, the chassis is standard DIN mount, so the Sony should slide
right in.  However, there's going to be a 1/2" to 1" gap on
each side of the radio, because the stock radio has an extra-
wide face plate.  Excuse the bad ASCII graphics, but here's what
a view of the top of the radio looks like:

Dave Robbins suggested calling Crutchfield... I'd second that.
I spoke with them about 3 weeks ago, and at that time a Crutchfield
employee had just bought an A4 and was going to let them "research"
it (read: rip it apart).  There's also a picture of a standard
DIN CD head unit (Denon) installed in what appears to be an A4
dash in their current catalog.
