my Callaway turbo

Since so many quattroists expressed their interest in my car, I thought I
could make a public statement. ;-)

I purchased this car already modified and, due to some circumstances that
are too long to explain here, couldn't spend an hour with the previous
owner sorting out the details.

The turbocharger is mounted underneath the air filter and its air intake
is hanging out like a scoop in front of the right wheel. The exhaust is
also modified (that thick single tailpipe is awesome is some perverted
sense). As far as I can tell, the rest is stock.

The boost gauge has marks up to 60 inches of Hg (1 atmosphere?).

The turbo starts to work somewhere just above 2,000 rpms. The car is
nothing spectacular in those stoplight races -- I routinely get to look at
some Taurus's behind, but the kick comes from doing 60mph to 90mph in a
matter of seconds. ;-)

Actually, may be somebody can tell me if quattros are generically too
heavy to perform well from standstill, or should I somehow rev up the
turbo before the green light comes on?

That's pretty much it, and I'd like to end this with a little plug for
Marino Dimov, who found this car for me. He's a big Audi and racing
enthusiast and has a shop just off exit 40 of LIE (Rt.495) --
