This is almost always caused by either a poor connection on the water
temp sensor due to corrosion, or the sensor itself being faulty. It is
only a $24 part from the dealer if you have the 2 pin connection or about
$50 if you have the 4 pin. The 4 pin model is more prone to leaking,
which causes the corrosion. The 2 pin version usually just goes bad after time.
The sensor is located on the coolant hose neck on the head and more often
than not it is the one on the bottom.
