This is exactly how it sounds to me Jeff.

There IS a difference between complaining and constructive criticism ... in
my case, I view my actions as the former and not the latter. Trying to get
a region going here in Arizona would be very difficult since very few Audis
around here are quattros ... most people think of them as cars for those in
snow country and not the desert, and their rarity here reflects this.
That said, I AM thinking about running for a seat on the board ... this way,
I should be able to satisfy MY concerns about QCUSA's past while helping to
further OUR mutual goals for its future!
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with me.

Hmmmm.... 'speckt yer Kindly Unk Bart could write to the naysayers (spec.
the anti-dudis) in better prose than I.... But suffice it to say Mr. Lawton,
Fletcher et. al. that Jeff has been more than open to suggestions on not only
how to make QUSA better, but to also put his experience where his mouth is,
albeit he WANTS to understand what the QUSA stand IS before putting/shutting
up. And given some of the responses to his less than blasting conversations
with QUSA, me thinks that we as a net, can support Jeff in his quest for
answers and the "facts" as he slowly attains them. I find his posts more
informative and investigative, than slamming and damning. I applaud Jeff
for his tenacity, patience and DIPLOMACY and for his taking actions upon
hisself to inform all of us that want to know "the Rest of the story". And
presenting the rest of that story, in a most objective and humble fashion....
I would address L & F to the best of my Unk Bart ability, "sometimes, better
to say nothing"... I don't feel either one of your posts helped rally any
sympathy to "your" respective causes, be what they may.... In fact....
Well...
The history of QUSA slamming is past, let us leave it there..... There were
problems, there still are, and there are people within the orgainization that
have the experience and the abilities to help.... Nobody wants to reinvent
the wheel.... I certainly would be the first to kick the tires and ck under
the hood before attempting to drive any q, club or car.... And given the
2000+ members, it might be time to upgrade the q.... Jeff, thanks for
bringing some rationale to this search for answers.... QUSA and our q-net
both benefit from your membership....
