Re: Unk Bart in absencia

Our Brother Scott Justusson catches Yer Kindly ol' Unka Bart dozing... errrr,
Hard-at-work (tm) at the keyboard, and takes up the slack. The sound is enough
to wake the dead, not to mention the avuncular one...

> Hmmmm.... 'speckt yer Kindly Unk Bart could write to the naysayers (spec.
> the anti-dudis) in better prose than I...

Scott, I sure glad someone was paying attention here, I confess that I just
zap the messages about the Q-Club on sight. The case against the Q-club has
been amply made, at least as far as this old rutabega is concerned, to the
point that I no longer consider joining. I did read Jeffrey Goggin's (AKA
AudiDudi) note about his letter to Scott Thiss of QCUSA, and I did read the
response from Scott Thiss of QCUSA. And I did see a note from someone that was
an inappropriate attempt to flame Jeff.

I confess that it only sounded like a keyboard fart of someone who was asleep
at the keyboard and hadn't a clue about the matter, but didn't think it was
worth breaking out the pressurized gasoline/naptha. Perhaps I was wrong...

In which case, my apologies, you do shame me sir. I just thought it obvious
to anyone who'd been on this list for more than 7 days, that any notion that
Jeff Goggin has been one who would bitch an' moan, as opposed to trying to
improve things, has his (or her) head so far in rectal defilade as to be beyond
gentle presuasion. Given Jeff's recent open letter, one would assume also that
whoever might chide Jeff for that would merely be giving evidence of a reading
and comprehension problem that staggers the imagination. This, I fear, would
make urinating up a rope a productive exercise by comparison.

Scott, you are too kind by far, to the old kumquat. You have said it eloquently
and to the point. I stand beside you, and join you in saluting our brother,
Jeff, not only for his amply demonstrated committment to improving the QCUASA,
but for his many invaluable contributions to this list, ever since I joined it
three years ago or more.
