Steve, after examining the 2-piece and having it gas-flowed I would say that the flow and performance advantages of the 2-piece make it well worth the cost, with the added benefit that it should not warp or crack either.

I've been in some discussions lately about whether to simply have the 
warped EM resurfaced or plunk down the big bucks for the purportedly 
better flowing 2-piece EM.
