4kcsq power locks inop.

 The power locks on my 86 4kcsq are kaput (manual locks for now).  All the
linkages are connected inside of the drivers side door; I also checked the
fuses.  Checked the voltage (12v) at the actuator in the drivers door.  I 
haven't check the wiring at the door hinge for breaks yet (did that last fall
for the power mirrors -- what a pain).  Is there a good way to check the 
vacuum pump in the trunk?
