Difference between 90CS and 90S

I may be in the market for a "newer" car and have seen ads for various 
'93-'95 model 90's.  I was under the impression that the 90S is the 
"sport" version.  The ads don't mention quattro, so I believe they do 
not have it.  Anybody know the difference between the two models?  
Weren't these letters used during the '92-'95 model years?
