You're welcome... the information on this list more than pays back any
help I can give!

I learnt about those little vacuum switches a while ago debugging
a cruise control.  Turned out my problem was a split in the vacuum
actuator.  Then I got real close to the one on the clutch pedal
when I was checking the linkage out.
