Oh yeah - that indicates that yer frequency valve is workin'. It pulses at a
high frequency to adjust fuel pump pressure, thereby adjusting mixture (as
directed by the ECU via yer O2 sensor). If that contact isn't closed, you
lose power to 1/2 the ECU, the cold start valve, the freq valve, the O2
heater, the decel valve, the wastgate freq valve, and the warmup regulator -
 thereby creating a bad d >>

Bro Dave is correct in that the O2 Freq valve must be operating to get a
proper mixture... I might correct Daves simple fuel pump pressure prose,
since the lambda circuit does not really affect system pressure (system
pressure is a constant, it is either used or returned to tank), only how much
fuel (in pressure drop across plunger slit) goes to the injector... But the
argument as to where you get the input is the same.... ck the DC of the O2
freq valve (2 pronged plug by your new fuel filter), it should read 50 +/- 8
DC = (90% of DC in Dwell meter).... You should set at the low end of that
spec 42DC or 38.5%DW... If you get another reading, or an large variance,
you could have a spent O2 sensor..... Once running, pull the dipstick, does
the car stall? If so, look hard for a leak in the intake system.... Pull
the IC hose off to ck, pull the IC off to look for oil leaks..... Ck the
PCV circuit, esp the top of the valve cover (t hose on the bottom rips all
the time)... Sounds to me like you have an obvious prollum.... Also, ck
that the ISV (Idle stabilizer vavle) is operating correctly, pull and clean
with starting fluid or carb cleaner a coupla times, might prolong the tithe
to that expensive part.... If none of these procedures work, then a
pressure test of the FI components is in order, you want to look at system
pressure and control pressure specifically.... A ck of the FI o-rings might
be in order as well, spray some "fluid" on the injectors by the seals,
different idle, get new rings.....

HTH without my propensity to be nerdy on this subject
