90Q brake problem

Just when I thought I'd run across almost every problem with this car, here
comes a new one...anyway, I'm looking for ideas from anyone on this.

PROBLEM:  The red 'brake' light (not the one on the auto-check system, the
one in the 3x3 grid of warning lights below that) comes on when I hit a
medium-sized or bigger bump.  It stays on until you shut off the car and
re-start (but you _have_ to be stopped when doing this; if you shut it off
while moving and re-start, it will stay lit).

Brake fluid level is fine; I've checked for leaks and everything seems OK.
Master cyl is not leaking (externally, anyway).  Brakes feel normal and work
fine.  The vacuum power brake booster seems to be working fine.  But the
d**n light keeps coming on!  I've got the Bentley, but I haven't found any
clues.  I've been looking for the typical Bosch sensor to replace, but
haven't found anything like that.
