Performance chips/yahoos

"Total Audi Performance" advertises chip upgrades to add 22HP to an Audi 2.8
V6.  The ad is for the Audi 90, but I'm hoping the results will extrapolate
to the A4Q.  They also have other add-ons such as K&N Filters, performance
mufflers, etc.

How have results been with these?  What do you sacrifice in the deal?

In related news, Superchips also claims to be able to increase Audi
performance, although they don't specify how much.  More importantly,
though, the yahoos call it "90 2.3L, Qualtro", and repeated below "Turbo,
Qualtro".  (European Car, 11-96, pg 149).
