Bosch, NOT!

OK guys,  

So saturday I finally get together with the guy who has the 1995 90Q V6 2.8 etc.
The whole point was so I could finally get the chip in it.

Following the expert advice of Bob D. to PULL harder on the ECU I got it out.
Only to fing it is a Hitachi unit!  Yes a little surprised.

So does anybody know when the V6s were Bosch and when Hitachi?  Anybody besides
Bobs' 20v got a Bosch.  Now I'm curious 'cause this leaves a whole slew of would
be chippers out of it.  Everybody who has chips for the V6 says they have one
for you.  Nothing in the Hitachi was plug and play.
