CT cameras on I95

I live with those,

>From the NY border to New Haven or just past the Passport is useless. All those
gray boxes and cameras set it off full time.

What are they for? The cameras etc. Well I've sometimes been told by the nice
flashings signs that 30 miles up the road that from exit X to X the road is
closed or under construction etc. That is the good part. I believe in
Bridgeport the wizard behind the curtain has a view of that whole stretch of I95
and they keep tabs on the daily accicdents and huge traffic problems that occur
every day.

Can or do they catch speeders this way? I really doubt it. They couldn't
possibly have such specific radar or take the time to see that one car or cars
that are doing 75mph amongst those who are doing 69mph. I just don't believe
it. They leave that to laser and whatever else they have.

I really do wish they would/could spot those idiots who insist on using all
three lanes, pulling off stupid passes w/o any signals to do 90-100mph
regardless of the heavy traffic. That is my biggest pet peeve. Twp percent of
the people on I95 look in their mirrors often enough to realize the closing
speed of these guys. And when they do they pull a half hearted lane change only
to have to go back to their original lane 'cause speed racer has already started
his lane change to the far right to get around another snoozing driver.

Most likely drivers that meet the description above? Young women in Celicas
(red) doing the nails. Young men nearly lying flat in their cars just peering
over the dash while they snooze/cruise.

Can you tell this annoys me?

Well I wouldn't worry about the cameras scouting for speeders. They don't see
the real problems so why me?
