Re: Antifreeze question
I never really used the Autobahn antifreeze on the 85' 5000s that I used
to own. I used both Zerex, Preston and even on one occasion Texaco
antifreeze. I sold my car last year with 125,000 miles on it to my
mechanic. I did have two radiators in the 67,000 miles of ownership on it
but both occasion was due to cracked plastic side tanks and return pipes,
nothing to do with dissolving aluminum parts! ;) I finally gone to an all
brass radiator just before I sold it. If it really bugs you then it is
not that hard to drain it and refill with new phosphate-free coolant.
I think you should probably find the cause of the coolant lost to
avoiding overheating.
