Reid - these are FAR the best options if you like the sound of the
Bose radio. There has been discussion on this list of an out-of-warranty
exchange for less then $100. I was really fed up with the reception
and sound (no highs) of the Bose system, so I began changing to a
conventional system. A year ago. And I'm not quite done yet....

Option #1 much better, and probably half the cost of going this
route.

If you decide to do this, Reid, email me (a-powell1@tamu.edu) and let's
chat about it. This is not a bad option, but it's a fair amount of
work and general [not royal, on this list ] PITA. You just night be
able to salvage some of the speakers.....
